In this context, it is with a deep soul yearning that we might crave the sense of belonging, connection, support, mutual care and love that we confer to the terms “village” and “community.”

For the last fifty years, there have been many experimental models for rural resettlement, from the ashram to the kibbutz, the eco-village to the intentional community. Building on all that has been harvested from these experiences,  a Regeneration Village is the integration of ancestral tradition with innovation.

In the rush towards progress and opportunity, many villages in Central and Southern Europe were almost abandoned, with often only a small number of resilient elders holding the remnant of their ancestral tradition.  To establish a Regeneration Village, there needs to be an alignment with the existing traditional community, and an agreed and shared purpose for regeneration. With that in place,  the existing resources of land and spaces can be restored and regenerated, and put to a new economic purpose, in  hospitality, education, well-being and ecology.

Once achieved, the second phase of a Regeneration Village is to create employment. The influx of workers may even include members of the families who left long ago, but still have ties to the village.  In our enterprises, there will be 50 full time employees. To create an aligned community is very important, and we will ensure that all the staff at Regeneration Villages S.A will be united by a common purpose, to regenerate biodiversity, revitalisae community and restore health.

Besides employees, there will be residents who buy eco-homes, premium members of the Nature Spa and national and international visitors, who attend gatherings, retreats and adventures. Our investors will also visit from time to time, to enjoy the site, make use of the services and participate in the life of the community. All of these groups will be part of the Regeneration Village.
